For four ageing men in the terror-stricken town of Milburn, New York, an act inadvertently carried out in their youth has come back to haunt them. Now they are about to learn what happens to those who believe they can bury the past -- and get away with murder.
Bleh, I just couldn't get into this. After getting this from my library I couldn't put it down, but I found it a hard struggle. I didn't even read it while I was away visiting family before Christmas that's so unlike me. I just couldn't get into the characters Peter took ages to drop the plot. I did feel a bit of build up, but nothing much more I felt let down by this book to be honest, what with all the hype build up around it. I'm not giving up on Peter Straub as I know from the talisman and The black house his collaboration with Stephen king he can write. Just wasn't for me i guess.
